Herbert Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow
Brookwood formed part of the lands of Brook House School, which is in use as a Spanish school for many years. Part of the site was used as a reservoir for water, this reservoir which was fed by a tributary of the Dargle River was used exclusively for the steam trains at Bray Esplanade train station. The stream was culverted during the construction phase of this development.
The attractive courtyard forms a focal point to this development. There is an extensive landscaped open green space with many fine mature trees surrounding the boundary to this site. Due to the nature of this site, there is extensive contouring. There is also part of the Killarney Woods boundary on the site, giving a magnificent woodland character to the site.
