Verona
Alfred Gresham Jones (1824 – 1915) was in Irish architect who designed Merrion Hall on Merrion Street Lower, now the Davenport Hotel, in 1862 and design the villa Verona in Queen’s Park, Monkstown, Co. Dublin.
Verona, Queen’s Park, now forms part of Monkstown, an architectural conservation area, and is mainly a residential area, which enjoys a unique architectural and landscape character that has evolved over the past 250 years.
Queen’s Park forms part of the ACA and Verona is now recognised as a contemporary building that adds character to the area.
